GALVESTON FENCING CLUB
UPDATED GOOD NEWS!! UNLESS THINGS TAKE A TURN FOR THE WORSE WITH REGARD TO COVID-19, WE WILL BE RESUMING FENCING PRACTICES STARTING MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2021. THERE WILL BE A FEW CHANGES TO OUR SCHEDULE WHICH WE THINK WILL ALLOW US TO START A NEW CLASS FOR YOUTH 8-12 YEARS OLD. PLEASE SEE THE SCHEDULE BELOW.
WE HOPE TO SEE OUR FENCERS BACK, ON THE STRIP, AND COMPLYING WITH NEW HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS (SEE BELOW).
Since our founding in 1996, Galveston Fencing Club has offered introductory classes into the sport of fencing, and the opportunity for fencers of all ages and skill levels to meet for fun and friendly competition. We primarily fence epee and foil, but sometimes have saber going on, too. We sponsor three tournaments a year that include events for both adults and youth and novice events for fencers with less than one year experience. We meet in the gymnasium or cafeteria at O'Connell College Preparatory High School in Galveston, Texas.
FENCING PRACTICE WILL RESUME ON MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2021 IN THE GYM.
Youth Ages 8-12: 6:00pm - 6:45pm
Open Fencing 7:00pm-9:00pm (Class/Lessons available)
Some Monday Holidays (by member concensus)
Some activities at O'Connell may require we move practice to the cafeteria or cancel. We will notify members
